About Battle Lines

Battle Lines is blog dedicated to military history, focusing on the human and material side of conflicts. Posts and pages range from explorations of the psyche of the grunts that fought history’s wars to the weapons and equipment with which they fought them. While the US forces of the Second World War is featured prominently, other periods and forces are covered as well. Information presented on this page is carefully and professionally researched, and citations are provided for furthering readers’ studies.

The creator, History Grunt, is an Army infantry veteran and avid military historian. He dabbles in collecting and reenacting as a means to understand the past.
